The Local Community

The Holy Family Catholic Church is located just a few minutes’ walk to the North of Reigate town centre.  Nestling under the North Downs, Reigate is a pretty and historic town, appearing in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Cherchefelle.

The Holy Family community encompasses people from many walks of life, and at every stage of life – from tiny infants to senior citizens.  We engage in a wide range of activities, including Small Group reflections on weekday mornings, Children’s Liturgy on Sundays, a music group, a youth orchestra for particular liturgies during the year, Lenten lunches in aid of CAFOD, a regular Traidcraft stall, Harvest Festival, and more besides.

With our brothers and sisters in the Parish of the Nativity of the Lord, we are also active in Parish-wide sacramental preparation programmes, youth activities, support for the sick, housebound and bereaved, work for justice and peace, and support for the Co-Workers of Mother Teresa.  The Catenian Association has a local circle, and SPUC (the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child) and the Cabrini Society are also represented locally.
